China Glaze- Capacity To See Beyond Review

Hey guys!

How has your day been? Mine's been good. I haven't really done much, just bummed around home and read my book. I'm currently reading "Les Miserables". Are any of you reading good books?

Anyway, onto the review. Today I have a gorgeous China Glaze polish for you from the Giver collection that was released a few months ago. This polish is called "Capacity To See Beyond". I thought this polish suited both the film and the book really well, so I'm glad this polish was included in this collection. Capacity To See Beyond is a pretty sky blue creme and it's the colour I've been searching for forever. I'm so glad I finally have it!

The typical bottle shot

Capacity To See Beyond does have quite a thin formula, so it ended up being quite prone to cuticle flooding, so be careful if you do end up getting this colour. Also, the dreaded blue staining is another thing to be wary of with this polish. I'm not too sure of how it would have held up with just one coat of base coat as I only left it on long enough to swatch it, and it didn't have enough time to settle, although my friend did try it without base coat, and she text me a day after she applied it and let me know that she had incredibly stained nails, so definitely be careful of that! Now, Capacity To See Beyond's opacity. Hmmm. Not the best. I mean, it was a two coater but the first coat was really really sheer, but the second coat managed to even it out to make it opaque. However, it's redeeming features include it's super shiny finish and it didn't take too long to dry.

Natural light shot. LOOK AT THAT BLUE.

Sunlight shot.

Capacity To See Beyond didn't have the best formula, but it's the colour I've been searching for for so long and I'm going to say good things about it. If you have a colour similar to this, then I wouldn't suggest that you run out to buy this polish, but if it's something unique to your stash, then it's a good investment as China Glaze is a very affordable brand and they have really pretty colours.
