Hello beautiful reader,
I hope that you've all had a nice week! Today I'm back with swatches and a review of Nicole by OPI's Carrie'd Away. This polish came out in January 2014 (THAT'S THIS MONTH!!!), so it's a pretty new one. This polish is part of the Carrie Underwood for Nicole collection, and if you know me at all, you'll know that I love love love Carrie Underwood. I'm quite possibly the biggest Carrie Underwood fan you'll ever meet, so naturally I was super duper excited for this collection.
Carrie'd away is the signature shade, and from what I've heard, it's the first signature shade Nicole by OPI have ever done, so that's pretty exciting. Carrie'd away is a beautiful gold glitter polish filled with microglitter, and I mean when is a gold glitter necessary? Answer: ALWAYS.

Isn't the bottle just gorgeous?
One issue that I had with this polish was that it was very thin and watery which made it hard to apply. For my photos, I only used two coats, and you could still see my nail line slightly, so I would recommend three coats. I've used three coats every other time I've used this colour. One thing I just LOVE about this polish is how long it lasts. I thought, that like other glitters I've used, it would chip easily. The longest I've had this polish on for was four days, and I have never seen a chip. How wonderful is that?! Another great thing about this polish is that you can wear it on it's own, or you can layer it. I personally prefer it on it's own, but it's also good to have options with this polish.
Carrie'd Away in the shade. This photo doesn't really do the glitter justice though. That's something you need to see in person!
Carrie'd Away in the sun! You can see more of the glitter here.
Like other Nicole by OPI glitters that I own, it dries slightly textured. It's nowhere near as textured as liquid sands by OPI are, so if you're not a fan of them, you should still like this, and with enough top coat, you can smooth it down anyway. It's not the best formula, but the colour makes it worth the trouble, in my opinion. I am a huge fan of this polish, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I don't own any gold glitters like this, so I am so happy to add this to my collection.
I hope you've enjoyed this review, and if you want to see any other polishes reviewed, let me know. Thank you for reading, and until next week, goodbye.
