BYS- Baby Let's Cruise Review

Hi!

Today, I have a BYS polish for you. BYS is an Australian brand, and they're about $6 a bottle here in New Zealand, which I LOVE because most polishes are insanely expensive over here. The colour I have for all of you lovely people, is called 'Baby Let's Cruise' and if you hear that and don't want to scream "BABY YOU A SONG, YOU MAKE ME WANNA ROLL MY WINDOWS DOWN AND CRUUUUUUUISE", then there's obviously something wrong with you. Haha.

'Baby Let's Cruise' is a pretty bright aqua creme. I don't have anything else like it in my polish collection, so it's pretty cool. Another thing that is also pretty cool about this polish is that I was wearing it when I got to meet Lady Antebellum. So, if this doesn't scream lucky polish, I don't know what does.

Bottle shot. My camera washes the colour out. It's more minty in person.

Now this polish actually isn't all that great. It has an insanely beautiful colour but it is just HELL to put on. I cannot even express how awful it is. For one, it's streaky, so I have to use four coats, and with the slow drying time of this polish, it's horrendous. The formula of this polish is also just ick. It's really thick and goopy and just doesn't apply well. It also dries showing brushstrokes, which is really weird for a creme.

This polish does have a perk though, it looks great both glossy and matte. I don't have any pictures of it with a matte top coat, due to the drying time factor. So, you'll just have to take my word for it, I guess.

As far as this polish goes, this is not something I'd recommend. The formula was disgusting. It dried with brushstrokes. It's goopy, and worst of all, the drying time. I've mentioned the drying time before, but I never actually told you HOW long it took. When I swatched this, I actually just wanted to wear it as a matte mani, and I decided to swatch it too. Well. A whopping sixty minutes later, and it was STILL wet. I hadn't even put the matte top coat on. After an hour, I gave up, and took it off and chose a different colour. So, if you don't mind waiting over an hour for your nails to dry, I think you'd love this polish. (I'm kidding) This polish is not worth the wait. Some are, and this one just isn't. I am yet to see a dupe of this colour, which is disappointing because the colour is beautiful, but I just cannot be bothered dealing with the formula and drying time of this polish.
