Nicole by OPI- Sing You Like a Bee Review

HELLO READER!

Today, I have another one of the Carrie Underwood Nicole by OPI polishes for you! I'm planning to get the whole collection, so expect to see all 14 polishes on here at some stage. Once I've reviewed them all, I may collate them into one review, so be on the lookout for that.

The polish that I have swatches and a review for is a polish called 'Sing You Like a Bee'. Now, I honestly do not understand the name for this polish, because I'm fairly sure the lyric this was inspired by was "Sting you like a bee" and this polish isn't yellow or black? But whatever. That Carrie is a strange one. Sing You Like a Bee is a white polish with a gold shimmer that shines through. It's honestly so much cooler than I expected it to be. In the bottle shots that were brought out with the press release, it looked like an ordinary white, and then this came out and I fell in love. It's beautiful. I didn't own anything like it, and I've never seen a polish that looks similar, so I am completely in love with this.

The typical bottle shot

This polish is great. It's only taken me two coats to get it opaque, and it's dried very quickly, which is always a bonus. Sing You Like a Bee does dry slightly textured, and I think it looks great, because it gives the polish another dimension, and it's definitely not what you'd expect. Another great point about this polish is that you can either wear it on it's own, or you can wear it over other polishes. In my swatches, its on it's own, but in some blogs that I've read, they've layered it, and it looks amazing layered too. Maybe when I get one of the other polishes from the collection, I'll throw a picture in of Sing You Like a Bee layered.

Sing You Like a Bee in the shade

Sing You Like a Bee in the sun. You can see the glitterness. Isn't it pretty?

Sing You Like a Bee has a great formula. I wasn't expecting it to honestly. I was expecting it to be so much trickier to apply, because in the bottle the polish looked really thick, but it's not! So I was pleasantly surprised with this! I also didn't have an issue with chipping for four days! For me, this is a huge deal. I was so stoked with this. If you're not a fan of texture, I personally wouldn't recommend it, because I think it would take a hella lot of top coat to get it smooth, and I think the texture in it makes the polish look more appealing, but that's just my opinion. This polish has quite quickly become one of my favourites in my collection due to its uniqueness. Whether you're a Carrie Underwood fan or not, I'd recommend it to anyone who likes texture, because this polish is absolutely beautiful.
