Nicole by OPI - American as Apple Pie

Hello to my favourite people!

You guys are officially my favourite people because I absolutely love how many of you read my blog posts! It makes me so happy, so thank you so much! Plus, it gives me a reason to buy new polishes, not that there needs to be a reason.

Today, I have another Nicole by OPI polish from the Carrie Underwood collection! You've almost got all 14 polishes up! Once I've reviewed them all, I'll shove up a special post with all the links for you guys, so you can find them easier. This colour is called "American As Apple Pie" or as my friend likes to refer to it as, "Cupids Arrows". (She wasn't too happy with the name. Haha.) This polish is a pretty classic red with a blue shimmer running through it. It looks super pretty on the nail.

I think my favourite part of this polish is it's opaqueness. One coat is all it takes to get it fully opaque! How cool is that? I'm in love with this! This polish also dries relatively quickly, so it's a perfect polish for if you're running late for something or if you just want to do a quick mani. It unfortunately doesn't dry super shiny, but with a little top coat, this isn't that big of a problem. The formula of this polish was good, and I mean, it is a one coater, so you'd expect it to be good formulawise. Application is also really easy, and I had no problems with it. I feel like this polish is really foolproof. Haha. There is a negative point to this polish though, and that's the shimmer. This shimmer seems to be really shy. That's a trait we both share. Haha. The shimmer in this polish doesn't really translate onto the nail super well, which is kind of disappointing, but if you get it in the right light it shows up, and it looks gorgeous. I've attempted to get a shimmer shot for you, but I don't know how well you'll actually be able to see it, so sorry for that!

I think I like this polish a lot more than I thought I would, honestly. It really does look pretty on the nail and the shimmer adds another dimension to the polish and it's so gorgeous. Even though the shimmer isn't too obvious, it still peeks out occasionally, and for that reason, I probably wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't fans of shimmers. But if you're like me and are a fan of both shimmers and cremes, I really think you'd like this polish.
