China Glaze- Your Present Required Review

Hey all!

How are you all doing today? I'm doing very well. Today I’m going away on holiday for a week and I’m so excited! It’ll be nice having some time off work and PAINTED NAILS! Haha. My brother has an athletics competition so the whole family is headed to watch him and cheer him on. I also get to see some friends I haven’t seen for almost a year so that’ll be lots of fun.

Today I have yet another multi coloured glitter topper for you guys, but this time, it's from China Glaze. Today's polish is called Your Present Required and was from their holiday collection from 2013. Your Present Required is a gorgeous multi coloured glitter topper featuring purple, blue and white, large and small hex pieces of glitter. The amount of colours that are jammed into this polish make it versatile and can be worn over almost any colour imaginable. In my swatches I have layered Your Present Required over China Glaze's Capacity To See Beyond.

Look at the colourbomb in the bottle shot!

Your Present Required is an interesting polish. The glitter is suspended in a clear base, which makes it easy to layer. The formula of the base isn't too bad even with the amount of glitter that has been jammed into the bottle. However, the coverage from the polish was not good. I used one coat in my swatches and I did not get a lot of glitter coming off the brush. I think the issue with this was the size of the China Glaze brush. If you are unsure of what the China Glaze brush is like, it is smaller and skinnier than the brush of an Essie polish. This skinny brush makes it difficult to pick up bits of glitter and transfer them onto the nail, which I found to be rather disappointing. I probably could have done another coat of the glitter, but when I use a glitter topper, I prefer to use just one coat.

Natural light (Sorry for the lack of clean up around my nails)

As gorgeous as this polish looks in the bottle, I don't think that it's something that I will use again. I have one multi coloured glitter topper and that one works much better for me, so I'd prefer to use that one (Chasing Rainbows from OPI which was reviewed HERE). What do you guys think of it? Is this a polish that interests you?
