Essie- Licorice Review

Hey guys!

Hope you've all had a good few days. The semester is coming to an end (tomorrow is my last day), and then a few exams and I will have finished my first year at university!

Today I have another Essie polish for you. It's not too exciting, but some of you might find it interesting. Today's polish happens to be Essie's colour of the month, and it is a basic black creme called "Licorice".

The formula isn't great and the first coat is pretty sheer. It's opaque in two coats and it dries really shiny. In my notes, I said that application is hard. I assume that it's because of the brush. I find Essie brushes tend to be quite hard to work with. I'm getting better at using them, but I tend to have to take a lot of time painting my nails. Check out my swatches below.

If you're in the market for a black creme, this isn't a bad one. I'm not overly impressed with this, and I don't think I've ever actually worn it as a full manicure. I think once I use up this bottle, I might jump ship and switch to OPI's black creme- Black Onyx, but we'll see. Licorice should be available anywhere you buy Essie, and readily available online.
