Hey guys,
I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for this next week. It's my birthday on Thursday and I'm super excited. I don't think I'm going to be doing too much, but we'll see.
Today I have two polishes from China Glaze's holiday collection for 2015 for you. I actually really liked this collection, however I felt like I had a few polishes that were very similar to these, so I decided to just get the two that appealed to me the most. The two ones that I picked up where I Soiree I Didn't Do It and Brand Sparkin New Year.
First off, we have Brand Sparkin New Year. I don't know how I feel about this one. It's a polish filled with medium purple and gold hex glitters and small silver microglitters in a purple jelly base. It has pretty good coverage on the first coat, which I was pretty surprised about. I did not expect it to have great coverage. It was completely opaque in two coats and it dried crazy shiny. It also dried very gritty from the large chunky glitters in the polish. With the tinted base, and the different sized glitters, it would probably be too dense to layer. Removal of this sucks. I just took it off my nails and there's glitter EVERYWHERE. As I mentioned before, I'm not super into this, but I'll probably try and wear it again, and then decide whether or not I'm going to keep it.
Next we have my favourite- I Soiree I Didn't Do It. To start with, THAT NAME. HOW GOOD IS IT? This one looks so amazing. This polish has green, blue and silver microglitter in a blue base. It's a little sheer on the first coat, but builds up nicely on the second coat. Like Brand Sparkin New Year, this one is also a little too dense to layer. The formula is super easy to work with and ugh you guys. I love this. The different mix of glitters goes amazingly well together and just screams Christmas. And it's SO sparkly. I just stood in the sun and stared at it, and then called my Mum and asked her to come and look at how sparkly it was. I cannot wait to wear this closer to Christmas. Check out the swatches below, and that sunlight shot:
What do you guys think of these polishes? Are they ones you need to pick up?
