Hey guys,
I hope you've all had a fantastic weekend and are excited for Christmas at the end of the week. I haven't got much planned for Christmas but it will be nice to just be at home and spend time with my family.
Today I have OPI's holiday collection for this year to review for you. I got this collection in late September and have been extremely slack in actually swatching these and getting this out to you, but the collection should still be easily accessible, so if you like some of these polishes they shouldn't be too difficult to find. This collection is very heavy on shimmer, metallic and glitter, which is right up my alley and although I didn't get the whole collection, I did get a fair few, so I hope you enjoy it.

Bottle shots. I apologise for the low quality of these. From left to right, Ce-less-tial Is More, Centre of the You-niverse, Comet Closer, Give Me Space, Infrared-y To Glow, Let Your Love Shine, No More Mr Night Sky.
First up is Ce-less-tial Is More. This is a really pretty slightly pink toned gold glitter with small holographic glitter in a clear base. This polish is completely opaque and the formula was so easy to work with. It dries slightly textured, but that's not anything a good top coat can't fix. It's also possibly a little bit too dense to wear as a topper, so I wore it alone, but you may be able to do it. This polish reminds me a lot of a more dense version of OPI's Rose of Light which is one of my favourite OPI's, so I really like that. I may wear this one on New Years Eve because of how sparkly and great it is. Check out the swatch below:
Next up, Centre of The You-Niverse. This is another really cool glitter polish with black and silver glitter in a black base. The black glitter doesn't really make much sense to me because it gets completely covered by the black base, but whatever, it's pretty regardless. The first coat is pretty sheer but it builds up nicely and is completely opaque on the second coat. I love this one because it really does look like a night sky and it'd be a really nice vampy colour for the winter. Check out the swatch below:
Comet Closer is the next polish I have for you. I passed on this one for like three months even though I thought it looked amazing in the bottle and then one day I just sucked it up and bought it and guys, I love this one. It's a gorgeous textured gold shimmer. Part of me wishes this was a straight shimmer, without the texture, but it's still really pretty. It's completely opaque in two coats and is super metallic looking. Comet Closer dries super fast and a tad bit brushstrokey, but it wasn't too bad. I love how unique this one is. In my rather vast collection, I don't have anything like this. This one is really nice for this time of the year with Christmas and New Years.
Next, Give Me Space. This is an incredible deep blue polish filled with holographic shimmer. The formula of this is fantastic and it's totally opaque in two coats. This was the one I was most looking forward to, and it definitely didn't disappoint. It's SO GOOD GUYS. If you're only going to pick one polish up from this collection, it should definitely be this one. I cannot wait to wear this polish in winter. Check out my swatch below:
LOOK AT THAT SHIMMER GUYS
This next one is a polish that raised some eyebrows. It's something that OPI hasn't done before. It's called Infrared-y To Glow and it's this cool glitter topper with pink and copper chevron type glitter and small holographic glitter in a clear base. I love it! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's so unique and different. Formula wise, it isn't bad. It isn't too base heavy and I used one coat dabbed on top of OPI's Purple Palazzo Pants from the Venice collection (which I reviewed here). There was another polish in this collection very similar to this one, but I preferred this colour combo, so I picked up this one. Check out my swatch below:
Let Your Love Shine is the next polish I have for you. This is an awesome deep red polish filled with golden shimmer. This has such an amazing formula and was completely opaque in two coats, but if you're careful, it could easily be a one coater. It's probably the most Christmassy polish I got from this collection, but it's not so overly Christmassy that it couldn't be worn at other times of the year. This polish potentially beats OPI's Love Athletes In Cleats as my favourite red polish. That's how great it is. It's just so great. I think this polish will be what I'm wearing on my nails on Christmas day this year. Unfortunately, it does stain like anything, so I'd definitely be careful with removal. Check out the swatch below:
Lastly, we have No More Mr Night Sky. This is a grey polish filled with silvery blue shimmer. I really like this one. The formula of this one is pretty good. This polish is pretty sheer, but builds up nicely and is totally opaque in three coats. I love how prominent the shimmer in this one is because I'm a sucker for shimmer. Check out the swatch below:
SO. That's it. If you managed to make it all the way to the end, THANK YOU SO MUCH. Haha. It was a very text heavy post, but I didn't want to split the collection up. Are there any polishes here that you want to get or have already purchased?
