Hey guys,
Hope you've all had a good few days. I'm on holiday at the moment and I fly home tonight, but I couldn't not leave you guys without a post after my terrible non posting spell.
Today I have a fun couple of polishes for you from Essie's spring collection that was released earlier this year. Like usual, this collection wasn't released here in New Zealand which sucks because I love Essie's spring collections. This collection was all flower based, which was super cute and so perfect for a spring collection. The two polishes I have for you today are Flowerista and Garden Variety.
First up, I have a blue leaning teal creme called Garden Variety. This was the colour that I was most excited for in this collection and it definitely didn't disappoint. The formula of this polish is incredible. It's completely opaque in two coats and it's super shiny. When I had this on my nails, I couldn't stop staring at it. It's just so pretty. Unfortunately, this one stains. SO MUCH. I can honestly say that I have never experienced a polish that stains as badly as this one does. I took it off almost a week ago, and I still have teal stains on my nails. I love the colour too much to get rid of this polish though. Check out the swatches below:
The other polish I purchased from this collection is Flowerista. This one is the namesake of the collection and it's a really pretty red based purple creme. The formula is so incredible and insanely easy to use. It's completely opaque in two coats and dries so shiny. When I wore this one a few months ago, I fell so in love with it. It looks so flattering on and I feel like I need about a million more bottles of this. Essie did good with this one. This one, unlike Garden Variety, doesn't stain at all. Check out my swatch below:
As I've said before, Essie's spring collections never seem to be released in New Zealand, so I got these on ebay, and from what I've seen, they still seem to be readily available on etailers and on websites like ebay. I do also know that Flowerista was added to Essie's permanent line, so that one shoudn't be as hard to get your hands on. But what are your opinions on them? Are you going to pick any of these up, or have you already got some?
